Alzheimers Research UK

Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity specialising in finding preventions, treatments and a cure for dementia.  Dementia affects 850,000 people in the UK, 40,000 of whom are under 65. It robs people of their ability to think, reason and remember; over time the symptoms grow worse and people need 24 hour care.

You can access The Dementia Research InfoLine here. This service offers:

  • Up-to-date information about current dementia research
  • The opportunity to register your interest in volunteering for research studies
  • General information about symptoms, causes, diagnosis, risk factors and treatments for dementia
  • The research evidence behind myths, claims or current newspaper articles.
