Charity Golf Day raises £1,500
On 18th July, RBF supporter David Kierton held a charity Golf Day for his 60th birthday at Lindrick Golf Club in Nottingham. Players included some of David’s business colleagues from his time at Unipart Rail as Business Collaboration Director prior to his retirement. The Ryder Cup team style competition was won by Team England and the day raised £1,500 for RBF!
David said: “It’s always great to be able to give something back into the charity. My brother Richard and I used to attend the St. Christopher’s Railway Charity Christmas party at the Tech Centre Derby in the 1970’s where our mother Janet worked in the BRB Rolling Stock Library. Roll the clock on for 50 years and the charity now known as the Railway Benefit Fund is still providing much needed financial and personal support for our industry colleagues.”
Thank you to David and all those involved for their support.
