Christmas Carol Concert at London Bridge
On Monday 18 December, we held a charity Christmas carol concert at London Bridge Station, kindly supported by Network Rail.
The harmonising sounds of the London Transport Choir echoed through the arches of the station, accompanied by ‘Henry’ the organ, donated to London Bridge by Pipe Up, a charity that rescues church organs that might be lost as churches close.
The choir drew in crowds of commuters, spreading Christmas joy across the station with classics such as ‘White Christmas’ and ‘Winter Wonderland.’ Guests included Rail Minister Huw Merriman, Network Rail’s Regional Managing Director Ellie Burrows and Chairman Lord Peter Hendy.
Thanks to those who bought tickets and the generosity of passers-by, the evening raised a fantastic £1,309 for RBF. This money will allow us support families and children in need this Christmas and into 2024.
