£10,000 raised at the National Rail Awards
On Thursday 14th September, the RBF team attended the National Rail Awards as the event’s charity partner. The event, held at the prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane and hosted by Steph McGovern, celebrated rail excellence and highlighted railway people who exceeded expectations across the country. As part of the celebration, we organised the charity raffle, with amazing prizes up for grabs including Eurostar tickets, a meal at Mossimann’s and tickets for ‘I Should be so Lucky’ the musical.
Our amazing volunteers Sue, Ness, Raj, Danielle, Maggie, Colette, and Karen helped us sell raffle tickets and collect donations on the night. Thanks to their support and the generosity of the evening’s guests, we raised an incredible £10,000! At the end of the night, the raffle was drawn, and our winners were selected. Congratulations to: Phil Metcalfe, Neil Drury and Matthew Spurr for winning the amazing prizes. Thank you also to companies who pre purchased their raffle tickets: Siemens, Merseyrail, Addleshaw Goddard and FabDigital. Our thanks also to Rob Lancaster of Outstanding Events who provided the post awards entertainment with a 360 photo booth.
Thank you to Rail Magazine for inviting us to be their charity partner for the event, and to everyone who entered our raffle and supported us during the awards evening.
