Our 2024 Calendar Competition

It’s that time of year again! RBF are on the lookout for photos to feature in our 2024 Calendar. Every year we are inundated with fantastic shots of UK railway scenes, and it’s always a difficult decision to narrow it down to our top 12.

This year, we are looking for photos of anything rail related; whether it’s a steam, diesel or electric locomotive, a freight or passenger service, trams or underground trains, or a picture of your favourite train at a station or bridge. We particularly like photos that correlate to a specific month or season, such as snowy or sunny scenes.

Please bear in mind the following guidelines when sending in your photos:

• The image must be landscape
• We need the images to be high quality, at least 300 dpi, so please make sure your camera, phone or computer isn’t compressing the image when you send it over
• Only send us images that you own the rights to
• Please tell us a little bit about what we can see, such as the location, date of the photo, type of train in the image and any other fun facts

Our panel of judges, led by our President Pete Waterman OBE, will choose our top 12 photos over the coming weeks. Those selected will receive a free copy of the calendar.
