Retired Rail Community Event
On Monday 4th September, we held another successful Retired Rail Community Event, kindly hosted by Health Shield at their office in Crewe. This event, part of a new service offering from RBF, provided an opportunity for retired railway people to get together, share stories and look back on their time in rail with their contemporaries.
Jacqui Carr, CEO at Health Shield, opened the event, and Professor Paul Salveson joined to deliver a talk on the Settle Carlisle Line and share memories from his time in the industry. RBF’s Services Manager Ryan Morgan also delivered a presentation on the new services launched by the charity to support the retired community, including the Retired Fund and Befriending Service.
